About Me!

I am a 7th generation Florida resident, with my Florida-born ancestors dating back to 1827. (Florida didn’t even become a state until 1845.) My ancestors have a rich history in farming and eventually the citrus industry. This is why I love the old Florida culture and try to bring that to life through my photos. Scroll down to see some fun Old Florida pictures as well as some "New Florida" pics.

When I was in high school, I was the friend always posting pictures of the sunset & nature photos instead of selfies... and I still am to this day. lol. Florida has some of the best sunsets and has so much more to offer than the beach or Disney World. In my photos, I try to capture as much of “Old Florida” as I can. The Florida before Disney World & golf resorts. I mean the prairies, rivers, cracker cows, orange groves, palmettos, manatees, & cypress trees. All of which are fading fast due to our ever-so-quickly growing population. People are moving to Florida faster than ever before & many of our beautiful landscapes are being filled with suburbs & toll roads. The Everglades has been dried up (cue John Anderson's Seminole Wind"), the beaches are packed with retirement communities and tourists, & the orange groves are now housing developments & amusement parks. Even though this is true… there is so much beauty in the everyday life in rural Florida. Follow along on my Instagram & Facebook to see more of what us ~true~ Floridians miss.
